I am sure after reading the about me section; you have a pretty good understanding of who I am and know my career path is not exactly conventional. I did not attend or graduate from college; I did not have an internship and start my career with a wealth of industry knowledge. I used this as more motivation to prove I could achieve what I knew I had in me. Perhaps I would need to work harder and take more risks, but I was up for the challenge.
As much as I struggled with my confidence, I knew deep down that I would accomplish whatever goals in front of me. As I took the time to learn and understand who I am and what I do great, I began to gain confidence. It is a game-changer! I am good with me and know what I have to offer. So much that not only do I know I can do this, but I genuinely believe people are missing out if they do not meet with me and hear what our company is doing. When I meet with clients and am asked to share my story of what I did before ARYSE, and how our company started, I am not embarrassed and do not shy away from the truth. I will be honest that I used to hope the conversation about my education would never come up.
Learning business while being a stay at home mom from the age of 17 is not anything the world would see as validating, and my job experience on my resume would not look like most front runners applying. But I would put my resume up against any applicant now!
I believe when we operate out of our strength, we are happier in our positions and capable of extramental growth. I do not want to be anyone else or wish my strengths were different! I know I am valuable for who I am and how I am created to be. For some, the path will be school, and a degree is a must, and for others like me, it is learning and pushing myself out of my comfort zone. It is not easy. Zoning in on areas you are naturally good at does not mean days will not be challenging. When things become hard, it does not mean you are not where you should be. It is seeing the areas you are good at and each day pushing that boundary. Rising to each challenge presented. Being able to look back in a year, and seeing the goals you accomplished will inspire you to keep moving forward. Each breakthrough and win will build your confidence and help you to grow.
This is the foundation of why I want to work with those in their careers. I believe anyone can experience the same change I did if they just start!
As I blog more, you will read stories about things that happened in my career that led me to be in this place. The good, the bad, and the downright ugly. It is not easy, and it does not happen overnight. I will push everyone who does coaching with me, to be honest with themselves. Learn to celebrate your strengths and be aware of your weaknesses. Identify areas you can do more in and areas you need to extend grace to yourself. I will be your biggest cheerleader through your wins and support system when you fall and need help getting back up. I will be there to hold you accountable for taking another step each day while pushing through challenges that will face you. I will work with you to find your sweet spot, through some trial and error, but taking away what you learn in each moment to build your resume. I will not ask you to do anything I did not do myself or know will contribute to your success. Through hard work and staying the course, you will have the confidence to be ready to SKYROCKET YOUR CAREER.
